Wild Communities – Project Assistant Based in the Upper Tawe Valley, Ystradgynlais, Powys, Wales. £11,700pa (pensionable), 30 hours per week. Fixed term 9 month contract.

Brecknock Wildlife Trust is a small but innovative Welsh wildlife charity responsible for delivering a range of biodiversity and environmental community engagement projects throughout the county.

We are seeking a Project Assistant to support the delivery of our exciting ‘Wild Communities’ project on part time fixed term contract.

The project is about helping people in the Upper Tawe Valley area who are in need of assistance to improve their employability skills and/or people who suffer from poor health and well-being. We aim to engage local people with their natural environment, encourage them to learn to care for it and to take action to improve it for wildlife, in doing so they will benefit by gaining new skills. By providing these opportunities we aim to increase beneficiaries employability and health and wellbeing and we hope this will in turn help to revitalise this deprived community and its local environment.
